the loading code would be very long if they would save pots because you would have to save the number aswell. thats why there isnt such a thing

I concur with LorenzorroX_X - it' not a big problem) On leveling you can buy not a lot of potions, on the 60lvl it's not so expensive =)

They used to save. The actual reason, why this was removed, was trading potions among players and being able to sell them, resulting in a way to cheat gold.

That must have been ages ago. I dond remember this being the case from 1.20 onwards and i didnt find it in the patchnotes either.
The gold-cheating with pots was removed when you couldnt sell pots for money anymore.

Yes, I believe it was 1.12t4 -> 1.20, but I would have to check those versions to confirm.

I have not found it mentioned in the changelog between 1.09 and 1.20c, so I would believe, that it was not mentioned, because it would have pinpointed an exploit in a code compatible version.

What do you mean by history of GoH? Lore? Or version progression? Or lore in version progression?
Of the latter I often considered 1.08g-1.12t4 and 1.20+ to be two generations of heroes in RP, regarding the changes of spells and systems, balancing, items, etc.

v1.04 was the most popular GoH RPG version in history as it was the easiest one by far. :D
while v1.06 was the most hated one as it was an extreme balance version with many nerfs for overpowered things in v1.04.
v1.05 was never spreaded and there are only a handful of downloads of it as it had an extreme exploit.

so versions before 1.08x are also an important generation.

Really? 1.04 was easier than 1.34? I do not remember. I should try it out again some time xD

And I did say, that I considered 1.08g-1.12t4 to be a generation, so counting the other 1.08 versions to that, it would imply the same as you said, I simply do not remember much of the gameplay, because I have played a lot more in 1.08g (see the other post to which you replied recently).

If I remember correctly, EM had a different model or skin in 1.04, so the different generations paradigm applies even better then.

Also, I will look into the changelogs again, because now I am curious ,what changes there might have been between 1.04 and 1.08g (and in 1.06, as you say; if it is really that balanced, I might even consider it for PvP games).

Generally, I would name these generations:
beta
<1.08
1.08-1.12t4
1.20- <1.30 (or until Merati)
(previous border) - today

The last two and the first two could possibly be merged. If they would be, it would result in the three generations, that we had already mentioned.
