I have been reading old threads recently, and many times it was reported as a bug, or at least complained about, that bosses cast spells to often, because of the percentage threshold regulation and the bosses' regeneration rate.
The solution I have thought of, was to implement a short cooldown for those spells, so the heros are not stunned permanently. Just about 5 seconds after the spell has been cast, in which the players have the opportunity to bring the boss below that threshold again and possibly permanently, even if they do not have burstdamage like the elemental mage.
Playing an elemental mage myself I do not have a problem with it, but it should not make the bossfights much easier and solve some problems. In addition, it should be easy to be implemented, even with trigger spells.

Yeah, those spell make GoH imbalance when it comes to bossfight.

Adding a cooldown would be really nice.

If u don't like this idea, you could add a very small chance, incease it if there is any damage on the boss and reset it after that.

I agree. A mechanism like that would keep the possibility of the bosses casting their spells over and over, but it would decrease total spamming for those, who would otherwise not have the possibility to burst past the threshold.

I don't agree, if you add cooldown to the abilities the bosses difficulty will be really easy, bosses do need to be triggered differently, they should spam abilities differently.

I did test it, although I do not recall the results. Anyway, Robbepop has apparently decided to use a short cooldown.
And I do not think, that it will make the bosses too easy, as they already are relatively easy, and this idea was supposed to balance the difficulty for different classes and builds, not to adjust it overall. If that should be necessary, it can always be done by increasing stun length and / or damage, or even regeneration or damage reduction.
